Effects of Ploant Growth Regulators of the Morphological Change of Grapevine and Maturation of Grape Berries

Abstract
This experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of soil drench of paclobutrazol (PP333) and uniconazol (5-07) on the change in root and vine morphology and maturation of berries of `Cambell Early¢¥ grape cultivar.
Results obtained were summarized as follows:
1. The soil drench of paclobutrazol and uniconazol had stimulatory effect on the coloring of berries. The uniconazol increased slightly the soluble solid while paclobutrazol had no effect on the soluble solid content.
2. The paclobutrazol and uniconazol increased the thickness of root bark, so we estimated that it would increase water holding capacity on roots.
3. The paclobutrazol and uniconazol increased the number of the aerial roots in the nodes of two-year old grape vines. We estimate that the paclobutrazol and unicorazol would stimulate the rooting of vines when operated for cutting.
4. The paclobutrazol and uniconazol injected in soil in middle of July decreased the shoot growth and could stabilize the tree vigor.
5. The paclobutrazol and uniconazol treatments showed no effect on the cluster and berry weight.
